Hitchhiking 50,000 kilometers, on a boat across the ocean and an offspring in Mexico. FAR - Story of a journey around the world, is a bright, authentic film about an unusual journey of a young couple, who travelled to the East for 3.5 years in order to return home from the West as a family. Without flying and with little pocket money, they explored the world constantly accompanied with curious locals and spontaneity. What was initially intended only as a travel journal for family and friends, has unexpectedly become the most successful documentary movie in German cinemas, scoring a prize “Cinema Phenomenon of 2017.”
