A tender but rich atmosphere is typical for Mirabai Ceiba´s music. Soft sounds of harp, piano, harmonium and guitar are fused with love-filled voices amidst heavenly sounds. Their music stems from pure love and devotion. It is calming, peaceful and very meditative.

Mirabai Ceiba is a duo: guitarist / singer Markus Sieber and singer / harpist / pianist Angelika Baumbach. They come from different parts of the world. Markus is from east Germany. Angelika was born in Tucson, Arizona and grew up in a small village near Mexico City.

Together, they created a new musical style combining the Gurmukhi mantras from the Kundalini yoga tradition with original songs in English and Spanish, which reflect the influence of Native Americans and also draw words of wisdom from Rumi, Thich Nhat Hanh, Guru Nanak and Yogi Bhajan. The combination of elements from all different influences and sources gives their music power and uniqueness, like a gift from the universe.  At their concerts, the listeners are transported into a state of awakening, inner healing and rejuvenation, discovering a source of deep inner strength.

The musical duo considers music to be a universal language having the power to unite all the nations, cultures and traditions of the world.
