Conscious singing is about finding oneself, bringing awareness inside oneself

Snatam Kaur

Snatam Kaur studied and grew up in the presence of her spiritual master Yogi Bhajan in India for more than thirty years. Right in places, where healing through music was very strong. Here she learned to use the power of healing mantras in combination with spiritual music. Her concerts are not only an artistic experience, but literally a therapy.

"I grew up in the Sikh tradition, which is a spiritual tradition from North India. And the master who taught me the Sikh way of life is also a master of Kundalini yoga, so I actually grew up in the Sikh and Kundalini yoga traditions and music is a key element in this lifestyle. For me, it is a constant that carries the mind into the present. The realization of the core of my work is made possible by meditation and yoga practice, which seeks its way through music, thus through these concerts."

"Conscious singing is not about becoming someone else because you got lost, it's about finding yourself, spending time inside, because you burn everything and let it go, you let go of what you are not."

Snatam Kaur

“You know, Snatam’s music truly resonate with people, her cords touched human hearts. Manz of us knew, when she was just a small girl, that she has gift, like she is from a different planet. When she sings, even stone statues start to cry.”

"Concerts are opprotunities for listeners to open their hearts to mantras,“ says Snatam and continues: „To fall in love with mantras and experience them in their purest form, in which we are able to play them. I believe, that through these concerts, I can connect to people and enable them to feel light and love. And this is especially precious these days, regarding all the political and envirenmental problems we face.“
